Glen Stephens The Biggest Stamp Dealer in the Southern Hemisphere

A complete IMPERF sheet of a recent N.Z. QE2 issue!

This one is pretty special.

New Zealand Post issued a very pretty set of 6 stamps in October 2001 for Queen Elizabeth's Anniversary.

The issued set were perforated and are shown here below:

I was recently sold three MUH sheets in an estate, of the very attractive New Zealand 40c QE2 letter rate value from this set that were totally IMPERFORATE.

All fresh MUH, in exactly the same sheet size and design of the common perforated sheets of 25, but IMPERF.  As you will know if you collect NZ, this stamp has a very pretty design of the Queen in her 1953 Coronation robes, and has a nice metallic silver/bronze type border colour to it.

There was also sheet of the se-tenant strip 6 also totally IMPERFORATE.  Both are on the usual paper and have usual gum of the regularly issued stamps.

I am not entirely sure of the background to these.   I asked and was told:  "they probably came from New Zealand Post".   I doubt they were sold from over a PO counter, but who knows?  Original buyer has passed away, so can never be sure, but was living in NZ in 2001/2002.   And had a very large collection.

I can only see them listed and priced as perforated in the NZ catalogues I have, and on the New Zealand Post Office archives website.  There was a set of 6 issued in sheets 25 perforated, and the set of 6 in perforated se-tenant strip.   There is no mention of imperfs on the New Zealand Post website.

Anyway, here they are in the scans below, and I am sure a New Zealand collector or Royalty collector or dealer will have fun with them.

The sheets are a superb size for a collection as the sheet fits absolutely perfectly inside a #1 size Hagner sheet, or of course on a stockbook or album page.  SG Cat of the normal stamp is #2446, and Scott is #1738.

I was tempted to cut off the 2 x lower Imprint blocks 4 and offer those at $100 a block, but it all is hard work.

Maybe someone might like to do that on eBay or a stamp auction, and you might get a nice surprise?  Even offered in MUH imperf pairs for $US35 or so these would sell very well I think?

Seeing the market for QE2 material in Britain is understandably huge, these would sell incredibly well in the UK I believe, at £20-25 or so an imperf pair, or £60 a corner block etc.

My price is only $A200 the full sheet of 25.  As I type this -  that is only about £75, or US$140, so the potential is pretty obvious at around £3 per imperforate!  These will sell fast and be removed from the website, so order promptly if you can use these.

The strips 6 in the "Block of 18" (3 x strips) really would set off any album page.      Big Grin

$A200 per IMPERF sheet
of 25 as illustrated below
or
$A50 per imperf se-tenant strip of 6

or

Imperf strip in a larger part sheet of 3 imperf strips 6 - $A130

This is are a very small selection of the tens of thousands of stamps and "job lots" I have for sale. I am constantly buying new stock, so if what you need is not here, please ask! I stock basic Australia and most "Australasian Pacifics" 100% complete up to 1980, and the material in my lists is generally only the more unusual and interesting stock - let me quote on the "bread and butter" stuff. My prices on such material are the lowest you will find in Australia, whether mint, used, FDC, year albums, packs, etc. Refer to the want list page for details on how to ask me

And with the terribly low rate of the Australian dollar in recent times, the prices on these lists converts to CHICKEN FEED for those of you who earn other than "Pacific Pesos."    Not ONLY the $US, but Sterling and the EURO are also incredibly strong against our pathetic little currency.   I buy 99% of my stock locally - I am thought to be the largest stamp buyer in Australia's largest city,  so I pay in Pacific Pesos and sell in Pesos,  hence the incredible savings to ALL overseas buyers.   If you buy via "Auction"  (even if you are an Australian resident) you are always paying 15-20% "buyer premium",  plus GST/VAT type taxes  and other charges in many cases.   That can add 30% to the hammer price of the stamps!   There is NO sales tax or "premium" or GST/VAT of any kind added to orders from the list below, no matter WHERE I mail the goods.

IMPORTANT! Every price on my lists is NETT, in weak AUSTRALIAN dollars!!

IMPORTANT NOTE  ...  all my stamps - on this page or other pages are charged in  AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS  at the $A prices shown.   Where I have used a £Stg or $US price etc conversion in text on any offer at any time - that is to be treated as very APPROXIMATE as it may have been computed a while back.  It was correct at that time, but $A exchange rates have been VERY volatile in recent times.   Please use the spinning gold currency converter found on Home Page of my website to ascertain the current EXACT amount in your own currency according to today's mid-rate.   Remember -  I will always charge your credit card the $A sum shown for each lot,  (plus shipping and insurance) and NOT the sum shown as rough approximation in a non-Australian currency.

There are NO nasty 15% "Buyer's Commissions" or other such outrageous fees added to the price YOU pay when you deal with Glen Stephens.    A $1,000 Kangaroo stamp from me costs $1,000 plus shipping.    You could bid "$1,000" for the same Kangaroo stamp from an "Auction" house  (who in Sydney OFTEN owns the stamp themselves anyway!)  and it might cost $1,000 plus 15%  "Buyer Fee" plus 10% GST on that $1,150  = the "$1000" stamp is now often invoiced at $1,265.   All depends on whether possibly saving $265 is important to you I guess.
