| This is are a very small selection of the tens of thousands of stamps and "job lots" I have for sale. I am constantly buying new stock, so if what you need is not here, please ask! I stock basic Australia and most "Australasian Pacifics" 100% complete up to 1980, and the material in my lists is generally only the more unusual and interesting stock - let me quote on the "bread and butter" stuff. My prices on such material are the lowest you will find in Australia, whether mint, used, FDC, year albums, packs, etc. Refer to the want list page for details on how to ask me |
|
And with the terribly low
rate of the Australian dollar in recent times, the prices on these lists
converts to CHICKEN FEED for those of you who earn other than "Pacific
Pesos." Not ONLY the $US, but Sterling and the EURO are also incredibly
strong against our pathetic little currency. I buy 99% of my stock locally - I
am thought to be the largest stamp buyer in Australia's largest city, so I pay
in Pacific Pesos and sell in Pesos, hence the incredible savings to ALL
overseas buyers. If you buy via "Auction" (even if you are an Australian
resident) you are always paying 15-20% "buyer premium",
plus GST/VAT type taxes and other charges in many cases.
That can add 30% to the hammer price of the stamps!
There is NO
sales tax or "premium" or GST/VAT of any
kind added to orders from the list below, no matter WHERE I mail the goods.

Fully IMPERFORATE British Commonwealth mint stamps for peanuts!
The VERY best stamp offer I have made for a very long time. Have you ever in your stamp buying lifetime seen superb looking British Commonwealth fully imperforate errors offered at around $2 a stamp?
Well,
this one is a beauty. I have no doubt whatever it could
sell just as easily at
DOUBLE this
price. See the colour photo at base of this page for WHAT
you are buying.
Being a
well known dealer for 25 years, and having
the “fastest cheque book in the
West” means I get offered some wonderful
spot-cash buying opportunities from time to time.
I bought a wad of 110
pristine fresh mint unmounted sheets of 50 stamps
from a wide range of British Commonwealth countries. They
are all from the mid 1980s era. All are from an array of
tiny and romantic sounding Pacific and Caribbean island
nations.
Every sheet was totally
IMPERFORATE.
Other than that, these were exactly the same as the issued
stamps - with normal gum, margins and imprints, plate
numbers etc, etc. We are talking here 26 different sets
of 4 stamps, and 2 sets of 3 stamps.
In total - 28
complete sets mint.
I have looked for 10
minutes and cannot see notes in either Stanley Gibbons or
Scott catalogues that these stamps exist imperforate.
They appear to be a totally new
discovery onto the world market
– and have probably not been reported or
offered by other dealers during the past 20 years. I have
asked around several very experienced dealers and none has
seen, sold, or been offered these stamps ever before. It
may be this hoard is a “one-off” – I have no way of knowing
after 20 years. But if it is,
once these are sold they
will be very keenly sought due to the very tiny number in
existence.
I understand these sheets
came from a one-time employee of the security stamp
printers. He may have simply souvenired these as a curio of
the time he was working there. Hey, they might well even
be real Plate Proofs,
in which case they really are sought after and valuable.
Licked onto a piece of white art board, and voila! They
might have been put aside by the printers for some kind of
official presentation, or planned archival use etc.
There is no suggestion by me that these were ever sold over a Post Office counter of course, but nonetheless, fully imperforate stamps are THE greatest sellers among modern error stamps. There is an AWFUL lot of material selling worldwide for large dollars that never went anywhere near a Post Office counter of course. Many Australian decimal imperf pairs that NEVER were proven to have been sold over a PO counter still sell avidly for many $100s each. Those buyers are nuts in my view, but they keep on lining up for this absolute clear-cut pilfered printer’s waste at zany prices. It is a free market I suppose.
What a wonderful selection of stamps we have here. Look at the scan below. These 110 imperforate pairs, or 220 different MUH stamps are a mouth-watering rainbow smorgasbord of thematic/topical issues.
You name the popular topic, and this lot has it there – Birds, Ships, Orchids, Christmas, Fish, Girl Guides, Masonic, Plants, Halley’s Comet, Shells, Music, Crabs, etc, etc. The very HOTTEST topicals for sure.
And there is heaps of face value here too – with most sets going to $2, $2.50, $3.50 .... with heaps of $3 values as you can see on the scan!
When ploughing through the
catalogues, I noted these sets as regular ISSUED perforated
stamps were typically $US3.50 to $US5.00 type range retail
in Scott, so pairs of them would be $US7 - $US10 (
= $A15 ) a set even
if normally PERFORATED! These countries sell well, and
pretty sets like these are always very popular.
It is my guess that the
Scott retail for this 220
stamp, 28
complete set
collection would in the common issued perforated form,
would be valued pretty close to what I am selling them for
fully IMPERFORATE!!!
In most instances
imperforate error pairs of QEII era stamps catalogue in
Stanley Gibbons or Scott in the
£100 - £250 a PAIR ( = $A600 )
type levels, and sell well. Whenever they are offered at
auction they sell pretty much always, and often sell well
above estimate, as the numbers on the market are very small
and collector and dealer demand is never ceasing.
I am offering you here 110 different imperf pairs (220 stamps) for what ONE imperf error pair often fetches at Auction!
This is the way I will cut up each sheet –
[ A ]
110 imperf pairs (220 stamps) -
$A 450 = $US 345
approx
[ B ]
Blocks of 4 of the above (440 stamps)
- $A 800 = $US
610 approx
Be clear about it - these are offered on a “First Come, First Served” basis. When they are sold out I cannot replace them at any price.
As our American friends say
- “You snooze . . . . .
you lose.”
So email me NOW to
order these if they interest you, as if someone makes me an
offer for complete sheets, I will take it, and bank the
profits, saving me LOTS of envelope addressing and grinding
out credit card slips!
So there we are. I know if I cut these up into pairs, and offered them in my ads now and again for literally TWICE this price, they’d sell every time. But for 25 years I have always adopted the K-Mart selling philosophy – “buy big, buy cheap, sell cheap, and bank the profits”. Using this simple tenet I have consistently made good income, while many 100’s stamp dealers who told me I "had it all wrong" got greedy and over-priced their goods, and have since gone to the wall. I have sheets of 50 to sell, so a small fast profit appeals more than feeding them out over the years, and a low price is the ONE way to ensure a sell-out.
I have no doubt whatever that someone buying these and re-offering for sale via circuit books, stamp bourses, postal bid sales, dealer shops, eBay auctions or whatever will do VERY nicely if offered set by set. Getting back 5 times your outlay etc would not surprise me at all if sold wisely. Lets see – a dealer selling these for only $US20 a set of 8 fully imperforate stamps will gross you around double my selling price. If you do not think these will sell for $20 a set, well you are simply in the wrong business, I can tell you!
For the collector, and
topical/thematic buyer, they do made a SUPERB colourful
showing in your album – see the photo for a small sample –
there are of course 220 stamps in your $US345 parcel –
that’s
only $1.50 an imperforate
stamp! You can’t buy a Coca Cola at McDonalds for
that!
I
PERSONALLY GUARANTEE
that you will be absolutely and 100% delighted with this
hoard. You have a 100% right to return this lot within 48
hours of receipt in condition as received to receive a
no-questions-asked 100% refund of the price paid for the
stamps. How can you possibly lose? When did regular
customers see me get so excited about a stamp lot???
“A very LONG time ago”
is the correct answer to that.
Postage is extra, and will
be charged at a flat $A12 for International Registered
Airmail pre-paid satchel anywhere on the globe. These
attract zero interest
from customs/VAT/GST men in my experience – good news for
those of you living in NZ and Canada and Europe!
